billy's career now spans six decades. as one drummer put it, "when he sits behind the drums and begins to play, watch out! he plays sounds that cannot be written, and makes it look so easy but it's not! what he does with his hands and foot is totally awesome. pulling off patterns on and off the beat makes you wonder - where did he come from? i've seen him on good nights and bad nights and was totally amazed. he inspires me to practice and excel myself."
